Introduction

This webquest will provide you with an overview of Islamic civilization and the role that Muslims played in bringing vigor and vitality to societies and cultures. In addition, it will provide an understanding of the factors causing the decline of Islamic civilization, seeking answers to questions such as “What went wrong?”

Alhambra is one of the most famous examples of Islamic architecture. It was built in the 14th century and served as the royal palace for the Caliph Abd-el-Walid. Alhambra is considered by some to be one of the wonders of the world. It received the best quality in interior decoration and architecture. Nowadays it's Spain’s most visited monument.
