| Teacher's Page This webquest can be used in various subjects, including social studies, world history, religious studies and foreign relations. This webquest is designed for high school students, but can be adapted for other grade levels. It
is expected that students will be able to: The suggested length for completing this webquest is five days (one hour per day). The first three days are for exploring Islamic civilization (steps 1-5). The fourth day is for designing the brochure. The final day is for presenting each group’s work and conclusion. Technology:Computer
for each student or group (with high-speed Internet) and printer.
This webquest is designed by Abdulaziz BinTaleb, a graduate student at the University of Texas- Austin. The first version of this webquest was created in the summer 2003. This webquest was modified in the spring 2004. With its appealing design, rich content and varied resources, I believe that the What Went Wrong Webquest is a very good contribution to literature about teaching and learning about Islam. It is nonetheless important to realize that more improvement is needed based on real teaching practice and experts’ opinions. Permission is hereby granted for teachers/educators to use this webquest for educational purposes. If you use this webquest, please send me your feedback and suggestions for improvement. Thank you.
